Opportunity Responsibilities

The purpose of the Social Media Manager is to lead in the development and delivery of social media strategies and content on behalf of EDG. The appointee will be responsible for planning and creating content, scheduling posts, and monitoring social media metrics, and will work across the full breadth of EDG functions, driving impact and engagement across our extensive network, and among the general public.

Main responsibilities for this role include:

Strategic Responsibilities

Establish and grow the reputation of EDG and its clients across a wide range of social media channels
Ensure EBG is employing the very latest social media tools and strategies, and leading in their implementation

Operational Responsibilities

Plan and produce outstanding and creative social media content, advising and actioning for EDG and its clients.
Establish and run a system and schedule for posting, updating, and monitoring and analysis of social metrics, for all content.
Identify audiences, set clear objectives, build an effective content strategy to engage the audience, increase traffic and boost conversions where appropriate.
Liaise with EDG functions and clients to identify their goals and become familiar with brand identities and products.
Manage the Group’s online community by reading comments, answering questions and actively engaging our audience.
Identify and supervise talented creatives, including in-house and freelance writers and graphic designers, and regional and global influencers, and coordinate their activities to achieve social media campaign objectives.
•8+ years’ experience in social media management and delivery as well as:

Degree in media or extensive training in social media
Expert knowledge of social media scheduling software and monitoring metrics
Extensive hands-on experience in content creation (including experience with graphic design and photo editing)

Expert on SEO best practices and social media trends
Professional and discreet with excellent time management skills
Outstanding written communication skills
