We are looking for a Senior Risk Engineer – Engineering Lines & Construction to join our team and play a key role in our Middle East Risk Engineering Team. Reporting to the Risk Engineering Manager, this individual will provide technical support to the Engineering Lines & Construction Underwriting team and deliver a high quality and cost-effective service.

Job Accountabilities

As Senior Risk Engineer – Engineering Lines & Construction, your role will involve:

Assess the quality of complex risks according to appropriate standard(s) and assess loss potential in accordance with agreed definitions.
Support Engineering Lines & Construction Underwriting team by conducting site surveys and desktop reviews and provide sound engineering opinion.
Support internal & external customers by identifying, and reducing the risks individually, and on an overall account basis.
Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, review loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis) and implement lessons learnt.
Share technical expertise with colleagues, business partners and customers through training delivery or participation relevant industry seminars.
Grow and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships and collaborate with both to develop appropriate service plans.

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
5 or more years of industrial or engineering experience.
Additional qualifications in Risk Management or Professional Certifications would be beneficial.
Self-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels – from site technicians up to company CEOs.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature.
Member of engineering associations is preferable.
Experience of working with international engineering standards and codes
Working knowledge of fire protection and detection system
Ability and willingness to travel within MEA region.
