The successful candidate will have responsibility to achieve an assigned annual quota. They should be able to prospect accounts for new business, maintain an existing territory, and work with colleagues on account strategy. The suitable candidate will bring a proven track record of open source tech sales in the European Telco sector. This role is a remote role and can be based anywhere in EMEA.\n\nThis individual must be comfortable selling open source, cloud, virtualization, and technical software solutions to all levels of the enterprise.\nKey responsibilities:\nRepresent the company, its solutions and software, for the assigned territory or vertical\nExceed quarterly and annual bookings target for subscriptions and services\nCarry out business development activities to develop pipeline for the territory\nAnnual bookings goal $1.5 million +\nBuild, execute and maintain a territory plan which achieves both strategic and financial objectives\nManage customer relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales cycle\nMaintaining accurate data and forecasts within the Salesforce CRM system for the assigned territory\nEstablish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in all customer accounts\nCoordinate our engagement with the customer, including support, service, and management\nRequired skills and experience:\nBachelors level degree education, preferably in a technology field\nExperience in software or technology sales in the Telco sector\nAn understanding of open source, Linux and Ubuntu\nA self starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets\nDetail orientated with strong follow-up skills\nEffective negotiating skills with ability to close sales\nExcellent interpersonal and presentation skills (written and verbal)\nProductive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation\nMature approach to long-term relationship development with customers\nThe ability to represent the company at external events\nStart-up experience would be an advantage\nWhat Canonical offers:\nCompetitive package\nWell known and respected brand name\nLearning and development\nAnnual compensation review\nRecognition rewards\nPriority Pass for travel \nWe are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination.
