Manager Recruitment – Emirates Group

We’re scouting for three experienced and unique individuals to manage our dynamic and diverse recruitment portfolio, shaping the sourcing and attraction strategy across the Emirates Group Dubai & International.
With an overall hiring target of 14,000+ individuals year on year, this is not a role for the faint-hearted, but the rewards are more than worth it.
Corporate & Executive Portfolio
This role will oversee a team that sources, attracts, and recruits our mid-senior level management roles, senior executives and C-suite positions across Emirates and dnata brands. This includes our Group Services functions (Finance, Internal Audit, Marketing, HR, Legal etc.), including aviation-specific roles for our commercial and operational business areas. These head office roles are essential in creating and driving the business strategy upon which our operation functions.

– You will play one of the most critical roles in identifying the individuals that will pave the way for our organisation to ensure that we remain best in class and best in brand.
– You will work with some of the most experienced professionals in the global aviation industry. You require a proven track record and understanding of hiring at the C-level, along with the rewards and challenges it brings.
– Define, manage, and deliver strategy and objectives to support recruitment initiatives executed by the respective teams, ensuring alignment with the Company’s vision, mission, and values. Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand department needs and drive hiring of all positions.
– Strategically partner with senior managers in developing integrated sourcing and recruiting strategies to support the Company’s growth needs and achieve hiring targets. Partner in business unit workforce planning to create annual recruitment plans. Understand short and long-term recruitment needs. and use input/insights on previous recruitment initiatives to help shape future campaigns. Focus on quarterly planning of campaigns/projects and attraction initiatives to maximise resources to achieve a high-quality, cost-effective and efficient approach. Understand key business drivers and ensure planning incorporates initiatives to recruit to meet all requirements.
– Influence key business stakeholders at the senior and executive level and provide consultation on recruitment-related issues and challenges. Identify specific business problems requiring recruitment solutions and provide overall guidance to business leaders regarding recruitment practices, policies, and procedures.
– Responsible for proactive headhunting and executive search including liaison with recruitment agencies when appropriate to source talent for critical roles and develop talent pools.
– Create a cohesive high performing team by providing leadership that engages all employees, including establishing key performance expectations and indicators, coaching, performance management, career development, reward and recognition, hiring, and positive employee morale. Ensure that the recruiting function is capable, streamlined and well-aligned with the vision and goals of the organisation.

Technical & Specialist Portfolio

This role will oversee the team that hires our Pilots, Engineers and IT experts. These individuals are intrinsic to the operation of our airline and group companies. We follow a well-curated recruitment process to identify the right talent for these crucial roles within the organisation.
We offer the opportunity for pilots to join the largest operator of A380 and B777 with a fleet of more than 255 wide-bodied aircraft. Our Engineering facility is one of the world’s most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities. Our team of IT Specialists support 40+ different Emirates Group businesses in Dubai and internationally within a dynamic and agile technology environment.
This portfolio targets some of the most in-demand and sought-after skill sets globally.
– You will have a proven track record of managing hiring for niche business areas, anticipating demands and providing recruitment and talent acquisition solutions to your stakeholders and senior management.
– You will be creative and innovative with a forward-thinking mindset to bring top-class talent to these specialised roles.
– In collaboration with the Manager HR Brand and Partnerships, execute the Emiratisation strategy (Rehlaty) through planning, forecasting and scheduling a yearly plan on potential vacancies for both fresh and experienced nationals showing an increase in talented UAE national headcount across all grades in various businesses over the next five years. Influence business departments to attract and retain UAE nationals in their respective areas and provide regular reports to the executives on the success rate for recruitment.
– Develop solutions to integrate recruitment initiatives with HRBP to drive succession planning and internal talent pools. Encourage internal mobility programs and ensure the ongoing development of these initiatives within recruitment.

Volume Portfolio
This role will oversee hiring our cabin crew, contact centre, check-in agents, ramp operators, baggage handlers, equipment operators, etc. These individuals form the foundation for delivering our world-class daily service to more than 150 global destinations.
This team alone is responsible for around 10,000+ of our annual hires. The volume of positions is reflected in the team size, where you will manage 80+ recruiters who oversee the recruitment process on a 24/7 shift basis.
– You will be an expert in recruiting high-volume roles and building talent pipelines by leveraging technology like Artificial Intelligence, gamification, etc.
– You will have experience managing high-profile recruitment campaigns globally and developing and selling global recruitment strategies to your stakeholders
– You will be process driven with an eye for creating operational efficiencies to ensure that we are operating in the most effective way
– Drive innovations to enhance the recruitment cycle in partnership with the Business Improvement & Efficiency team as well as Group IT. Leverage latest technologies, i.e. AI, Chatbot, video interviews etc. Initiate and support changes to corporate Recruitment policy and practices to reflect the continuing needs of HR and the needs of the relevant business areas. Develop, evaluate and refine procedures to ensure a flexible but consistent approach is maintained across business areas to ensure the processes reflect the best of current industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications

– Human Resources.Other : 10+ Years
– Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :
– Degree in a relevant subject (Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology etc)
– HR Professional accreditation preferable

Experience

– Relevant experience including proven experience of recruiting across a wide range of roles with proven ability to attract and hire the best talent.
– Experience of handling a large portfolio of simultaneously open positions across different business areas
– Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards as well as Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
– Experience collaborating with agencies to support hiring, especially for more senior or technical positions
– Proven experience of collaborating with an employer branding program and rolling out initiatives to increase brand presence
– Background in driving a Nationalisation strategy desirable
– Experience with managing relationships with RPOs desirable.
Knowledge
– In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques
– Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychometric test etc.)
– An ability to design and manage an efficient recruiting process and roll out process improvements to the team as well as stakeholders.
– Technology savvy, with extensive experience working with a modern ATS and a commitment to improve the use of technology within recruitment.
