The role:

As a logistics assistant, you will prepare the shipping documentation, import documentation, create purchase orders, post GRN and invoice and be aware of other logistics related ERP functions.

Key Accountabilities:

Plan and prepare import and export shipping documentation.
Stock Reconciliation of Import vs Export
Coordinate with Internal & External Customers
Able to understand the local customs requirement for sea, air and land shipments both for import, export and re import from KSA and any other origins.
Coordinate with internal vendors and external vendors, Chamber of Commerce, Embassies, Customs Authorities, Insurers, third party inspectors, freight forwarders and clearing agents as necessary to ensure that both imported and exported goods are supported by the required documentation to facilitate on time receipt and dispatch.
Ensure LC documentation is in compliance with UCP 600, error free and on time submission with zero discrepancy.
Liaise with Bank for LC/LOA’s, Amendments, Submissions
Ensure vendors follow H&S Procedures as per end-customer’s request.
Meet monthly S&OP Targets, monthly postings of all logistics related costs and posting GRN’s
Handling the issues related to Material Missing, Material Damage, looking for the innovative Ideas to make the smooth flowing of Materials from Warehouse to the Shipping Point.
Ensure that the trailers entering the facility are in line with LME Safety Policy and drivers are wearing the required PPE.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Degree required or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.

At least 4 years’ experience in shipping or logistics and Export compliance

Knowledge in Export and Import documentation; L/C knowledge will be required.
Excellent knowledge of Inco-terms, import/ export formalities, Time Management, Complex Problem Solving, Negotiation, Active Learning
An understanding of JAFZ requirements would be an advantage

Computer literate with excellent command of Microsoft package and LME ERP system AX Dynamics
In-Depth knowledge of Logistical Systems planning.
Good command of English is required, and Arabic would be an advantage.
