Lead Warehouse Technician – Audio

Key Responsibilities:

Management of the delivery of project requirements in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and Project Manager(s) in terms of: equipment availability and preparation, consulting with HODs and PMs on equipment allocation, and accurately resource their department on a demand and job specific basis to deliver prepared equipment for each project in a timely manner
Oversee and lead all equipment preparation and maintenance in accordance with the Department SOPs
Regularly check upcoming jobs in the system, and forward plan and schedule work load for preparation, maintenance and cleaning of all departmental stock
Maintain an accurate stock of all spare parts, and place order from suppliers in a reasonable timeframe to cover any upcoming shortages or scheduled maintenance
Communicate with HOD and Hire Manager any shortages in equipment lists for upcoming projects
Coordinate with Service Department on any upcoming scheduled maintenance and/or emergency time consuming repairs which must be undertaken
Perform necessary fault finding and repair of equipment and ensure that equipment in repair is to a minimum
Work closely with the HOD in assessing which maintenance, cleaning and servicing procedures must be carried out on which fixtures to maximise the operational efficiency of the department
Responsible for ensuring that the required cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, repairing and storing of equipment is completed prior to and after any job
Setting up systems/equipment as part of the pre-production process
Maintaining an overall tidy and organised department
Supervise team members and subcontractors in all operational procedures in the warehouse
Provide necessary training to staff members on operation of equipment
Notifying the HOD of all defective equipment, and arranging maintenance/repair schedule/logistics
Assisting the HOD in resource planning
Performing regular and annual inventory of equipment as per the set procedures in place
Assist in loading and unloading of equipment
Adhering to health and safety regulations and wearing the appropriate PPE
Reporting all health and safety issues to the HOD, Warehouse Manager, and/or Health and Safety Manager

Required Education and/or Qualifications and Skills:

Good written and spoken English
Secondary education, or related on-the-job experience
Leadership skills
Planning and organisational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure
Good interpersonal skills
Problem solving and fault-finding skills
Good understanding of safety and HSE guidelines/working at height
Understanding of production and events industry
