As the Event Director, you will oversee and organise events that will make an impact to the predefined target audience. Your responsibility includes coordinating with agencies, identifying vendors and creating detailed budgets and projections to ensure our events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.

Your role involves a deep understanding of event partnerships and sponsorships and the ability to secure collaborations with relevant entities.

What you’ll be doing

Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives
Identify potential agency partners and vendors
Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
Create sponsorships packages and meet targets
Coordinate all operations
Lead promotional activities for the event
Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers, etc.)
Approve all aspects before the day of the event
Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Media, Marketing, Hospitality, etc.
7-10 years of relevant experience with proven experience as an event manager
Experience in an agency, event management, or a similar industry
Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
Skilled in project management, Computer savvy with proficiency in MS Office
Exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail
Proven track record of working collaboratively and being accountable
Traits: Self-starter, with strong leadership abilities
Ability to tell meaningful stories
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal
