We are currently hiring for a Civil Estimating Engineer to join our Project and O&M Services team and to be based in Abu Dhabi to provide overall estimating technical expertise and coordinates activities. Also, provide/review different type of estimates and resolution of complex estimating problems.

Requirements
Bachelor of Civil Engineering
Minimum of 6 years’ experience, including at least 3 years civil/infrastructure experience
Must be familiar with construction practices, materials, and equipment.
Should be aware of Saudi Arabia Market
Primary Responsibilities
To co-ordinate the review of draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tender are included.
To co-ordinate the preparation of tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data including costs, insurance, and any requirements.
To prepare reports and supporting documents to submit to Lead Proposal Engineer and to identify areas requiring more information to ensure the Company is positioned to win and secure bids.
To develop tender cost summaries including equipment, materials, and labour calculations for final approval.
To co-ordinate and undertake the interpretation & review of system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and raise queries against specification.
To co-ordinate and undertake the review and generation of Bill of Quantity against system drawings to ensure alignment and to identify material types & quantities and prepare equipment lists and rough drawings for cost estimation.
To interpret and follow Company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standards
To co-ordinate and undertake the preparation of specification documents to submit to vendors for quotations of cost/price of materials and equipment and evaluate same against tender specifications to include in final tender documentation.
To build relationships and liaise with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors and manage daily correspondence for quantities, costs, and specifications.
Prepare multi-discipline detailed cost estimates for the EPC projects.
Prepare and review estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.
Develop and apply cost risk analysis tools and methodologies.
Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers’ proposal to achieve the best commercial position with minimum exposure to risk.
Review and Analysis of cost estimates prepared by cost estimators/engineers and adjusting/appending the same.
Prepare bid evaluation table and submit for Tender & Proposals Manager review.
Prepare cost estimate reports.
Providing support to the contract department in bid analysis, contract negotiation and finalization of contracts, by comparing the budget V/s bids and assisting in contracts administration / contracts management functions in assessing / evaluating claims / contract variations and change orders.
Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts)
Regular interactions with Project Manager/ Proposal manager/ Estimation Manager.

Has overall responsibility and accountability for the progress control and reporting
Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.
