An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Bradford’s Directorate of Outreach, Recruitment and Marketing as Administrative Assistant to be based in Dubai.

Based within the University of Bradford Dubai Regional Hub Recruitment team, the post holder will be responsible for managing the day-to-day enquiries, answering calls, handling petty cash and all finance related tasks, supporting the in- country program delivery’s admin related tasks and dealing with outsourced companies.

We are searching for candidates with experience of delivering excellent customer service and completing finance and administrative tasks. We are searching for an individual who is organised, able to meet deadlines and work in across functional teams between UK and Dubai based teams. The role would

involve working on a weekend, approximately every 4-6 weeks.

The post is a full-time fix term contract for two years. The University will offer a competitive salary dependent on experience, excellent private health insurance and a return flight ticket.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, answer queries/questions at reception desk, answer and transfer phone calls to the switchboard in a professional and proper manner.
Provide preliminary counselling and advice to prospective students on the range of courses offered at the University of Bradford and the admissions procedure.
Provide clerical support in organising practical aspects of recruitment events. Maintain records of the material used at recruitment events and record assets.
To raise purchase orders for all payments related to the Dubai Regional Hub activites and be responsible for payment settlement.
To provide logistical assistance to teaching staff working in Dubai, including welcoming teaching staff, setting up the teaching rooms, organising refreshments, providing AV support and dealing with queries from students attending classes in Dubai.
To represent the University at recruitment events when required and support the admissions team during busy periods.

Qualifications/ Experience

Relevant High-School Education in English and Maths equivalent to GCSE level (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience within a customer service focused environment

Excellent IT skills
Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
